Dream Doer Lyric Kinard on Artistically Speaking Radio

Lyric Kinard
Dream Doer Lyric Kinard will be on Artistically Speaking Talk Show this Sunday (4/3/2011). She is an artist with a serious addiction to fabric. Her award-winning wall quilts and wearable works of art are a product of her passion to create order and beauty while living the chaotic life of a mother of young children. Her second love is teaching, which she has been doing for the past 12 years. Lyric has studied with many well known textile artists around the country and continues to expand her skills in the area of surface design. She is the author of Art + Quilt: Design Principles and Creativity Exercises. She was recently named 2011 Teacher of the Year by the International Association of Professional Quilters. She has a BA in English Literature from the University of Utah and has also formally studied music and architecture. She currently lives in Cary, North Carolina with her husband and five children.
