doing it my way is what I am here for…right?
by Rebecca E. Parsons
This is my week to reflect back over the year that I chose to SOAR!!!

The one thing I know for sure is that doing it my way is the reason I am on this earth at this point in time. This is not a selfish statement of an egotist (although I have my moments). It is hard learned wisdom from being on this planet for six decades. It is all about aligning my vision and goals with my life purpose. My life purpose is to communicate…out loud and a lot.
I recently had a somewhat heated discussion about standing in my own truth. As most of you know the past 40+ months have been a time of massive pain and massive growth for me. I tried to hide the truth of my situation for most of those months…presenting a public persona that was but a dim reflection of what was really going on in my life. The ‘fake it until you make it’ mindset was an anchor for me. It kept me stagnant, floating around in one place and rusting.
Once I stood in my full truth and embraced the shame and hurt that came with unemployment, loss and life disruption…that anchor lifted, things began to happen in my life and I began to SOAR. It seemed that miracles entered my life almost daily as I took to the sky to find my wings.
I stand here today changed, no transformed, and very grateful. As I leap forward into 2012, I know that trusting that I am exactly where I am supposed to be is the key to future growth and transformation.
Doing it my way is the only way I know…and the only way that will work. And that is precisely what I am here for!!!
