Sandra Lee Rendered Me Speechless at Her Launch Party in NYC #bySandraLee
by Rebecca E. Parsons
I just got back from NYC after a blissful 2 days with the Kmart/Sears team at the Sandra Lee launch!!! My creative energy is on fire. Sandra made a comment about my blog { “This is pure genius.” } and about me as a writer { Rebecca is the hands down winner of wordsmithing.” } that rendered my speechless and in happy tears!!! Me speechless??? YES!!! Then she read a long passage from one of my posts that was about encouraging women to be themselves.
Sandra is warm and charming. She gave us solid advice about how to create a brand or take our brand up a notch. Be yourself. Don’t pay any attention to the detractors. Work tirelessly because you will have plenty of time to sleep when you’re dead. Most of all I loved that she took the time to connect with each of us on a personal level.

In this large room, filled with the gleaming red and white Sandra by Sandra Lee collection, she sat on one of the picnic tables and chatted with each the 16 bloggers. She had taken the time to visit every one of our blogs and note what she observed or caught her eye. I found that exceptional. I was impressed indeed!!!

Tomorrow I will share more of my photo journaling and wordsmithing!!!
My trip to New York is sponsored by Sear’s. All opinions are 100% my own.

Kind of intrigued by the room, it looks like a tent?!
So wonderful to meet you in NYC. Sandra was beyond wonderful…more than I could have imagined her to be. It was fun working on the tablescape with you (I think our was awesome…imagine if we had more time!).
You certainly did get some wonderful compliments from Sandra and all well deserved.
hi Rebecca, when I did the KMart Easter shop & saw Sandra Lee’s line I was in love! I have admired her from long ago, watching her story of childhood to adult life in & outside of her business.(not a wonder why she is so amazing & considerate) Great words of wisdom she gave. It is so easy to be overcome by detractors! How cool. If I ever had the chance to meet her I would jump! & Congrats on her giving you kudos! xo Theresa
Congrats! That’s awesome recognition. What a beautiful event!
Rebecca,
It was so great to meet you! I count last weekend as one of the many great experiences and blessings of my life. I really didn’t have any preconceived notions about Sandra, and was completely blown away with her sincerity and how geniune she was. That she took the time to get to know us made a big impression on me.
