My Inner and Outer Beauty Secrets

by Rebecca E. Parsons

My Beauty Routine

I think beauty is a combination of things, both interior and exterior. I give each of them importance in my beauty regimen. Health along with mental, spiritual and physical fitness and loads of fresh foods and water are the foundation of my beauty routine. That and keeping my face and body out of the sun’s harmful rays.

Rebecca E. Parsons in a BIG hat

I always wear a hat outside and sunscreen. I have taken plenty of good natured ribbing for that over the years. I was blessed to meet a beautiful French woman when I was in my teens. Sophie was in her 70s when we met and did not look much past 50. I commented on her beautiful skin and she shared her simple secrets with me.

She held my hands as she spoke and looked deep into my eyes as she delivered the advice I have followed ever since. “Always wear a wide brimmed hat outdoors, drink loads of water and use moisturizer twice a day.” I treasure that moment in a foreign country to this day. And, thanks to this chance encounter, I have yet to have many wrinkles, even crow’s feet, over 50. Merci Sophie!!!

My everyday beauty regimen is pretty straight forward and casual. When I awake I go for a two mile meditative walk along the ocean or the marsh. I usually leave around 6AM, before the sun is up. I love to see the sunrise and photograph it. And I always wear a hat and moisturizer with sunscreen. { Sophie would approve. } Then I shower and, if I am going out, I use a tinted moisturizer, blush and accent my eyes. That’s it!!! If I am going to my computer to work, it is just the moisturizer.

Discovering e.l.f cosmetics #eyeslipsface

Recently I had the chance to play with a new to me line of cosmetics called e.l.f cosmetics at eyeslipsface.com. WOW was this fun. My challenge was to buy $30 of elf everyday cosmetics. This website is so easy to navigate and the products are amazing. The prices are truly unbelievable!!! Look at ALL of this I purchased for $30.

There are great tips and videos of the products on every page. Even a cosmetic pro wold love this site. You can see my entire path to purchase here in pictures.
