Having My Way with Words Yet Again ~ Epic Abundance Manifesto

Looking Back to Move Ahead

Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into. ~Wayne Dyer

2014-EPIC-Abundance

Each year in November I do a Year in Review Retreat. I look back at the past year and reflect. I ask myself:

  • Where do I sense hope, encouragement, and growth areas in my life?
  • What were the highlights?
  • What are the growing edges?
  • Who helped me achieve my goals?

By looking back over the last year, I am able to see which activities and occasions have produced rich fruit. I make an effort to give those areas both time and space in the coming year.

I also look at the disquiet and rough edges by asking:

  • What did not work as planned?
  • Why did this happen?
  • What lessons did I learn?

Part of this grace-filled time is choosing a word as a theme for the following year. I have been dong this since 2008. This year I looked back over my words and noted the profound affect each had on my life.

2008 – HOPE – It was a year of trials. We moved back to Florida from Georgia. HIMself became ill and I lost my job as Editor of my beloved The Artistic Stenciler magazine. I struggled to find hope in any way I could. My faith and my Spiritual Direction studies carried me.

2009 – GROW – Grow I did…through trials. The world seemed to be closing in on me. I discovered plenty of growing edges to explore. God gave me the time to explore them. I started my little radio show called Artistically Speaking Talk Show.

2010 – REINVENTION – A rebuilding year for me launching Cre8tive Compass Magazine and meeting a pivotal person, Jennifer Tuma-Young. Jenn calls it an appointment. That it surely was.

2011 – SOAR – Oh my what a year to soar as I became a frequent flyer. My dear Jenn introduced me to this little group called Social Fabric. I joined and found a home and much needed hope. By fall I had a contract job with their parent company Collective Bias. I lost a lot this year, but gained so much more.

2012 – LEAP – I leaped headfirst into the year with joy and a determination not to look back. We moved into my peaceful sanctuary on the Plantation. HIMself broke his ankle and I learned just how strong I am. I delightfully created magazines for CB, walked the marshes in meditation and thrived in leaps and bounds.

2013 – BALANCE – I gave myself the gift of time this year to take care of myself emotionally and spiritually.

2013 My Year of Seeking BALANCE

I dedicated myself to find a good, simple balance between work and life. I stepped strongly forth in January prepared to work on my inner me and my outer me as well as my business while simplifying. I searched for vibrational harmony in my energy field to bring the right balance for my world. The results were astounding…

I married HIMself on Thanksgiving Day surrounded by everyone I loved. My dream of landing a job that uses all my creative talents working with people I love who love and respect me came true. I revamped my business with the help of life and marketing coaches as REP {digital} Media evolved and I became a blog stylist using my gifts to help others shine. Monumental steps toward balancing my life indeed!

Simplifying, however, was and remains a weakness. I just plain suck at it. I like to be surrounded by my things…they make me smile. I love digging through thrift stores and dumpsters…it’s what I do and what makes me happy. I love to drag some discarded thing home, nurse it back to use and then find a loving place for it. Some people foster dogs and cats, some collect clothes and shoes…for me, I simply curate my home. The balance here is that I have learned to accept this part of my self…and even love her!

2014 My Year of EPIC ABUNDANCE

Doing what you love is the cornerstone of having abundance in your life. ~Wayne Dyer

EPIC-Abundance

2014- EPIC ABUNDANCE – I feel the need to step up my game and reach for security. That necessitated two words for 2014. I believe deeply that there is enough for everyone. I am open to all the good and abundance the universe has to offer as I set my intention to unearth EPIC ABUNDANCE in my life and business.

I am prepared to be deliberately mindful of all opportunities to create epic abundance in all facets of my life moving forward. I have worked hard to be where I am today, and I intend to reap the rewards of that labor. I finally believe in my mind, body and spirit that I deserve the best and I no longer have the need to delay my good. It is not about my worthiness, but about acceptance and vision.

It will be a year of dancing with joy as I watch the hand of God at work in my life. As I prepare to enter into a state of flow, ease and grace I rejoice at the abundance I already have…and I look forward with wild expectation to what is ahead. I resolve to step out of my own way, to let go and to trust.
