An open letter to our next President: I hope bigly that half of America is right. I hope bigly that Mr. Trump can learn to govern ALL the people of this nation. I hope bigly the he sets aside his hate-filled rhetoric and assumes a Presidential posture. I hope bigly that he will care […]
I wake this morning feeling….numb. I imagine many others around the world are feeling versions of this also. So I took to my morning prayer and meditative walk before opening my computer. My reading was John, Chapter 21. Jesus and his disciples were having a BBQ picnic by the Sea of Tiberias. Can You Trust Me? As […]
All Souls’ Day is also known as the Feast of All Souls, Commemoration of all the Faithful Departed. The day purposely follows All Saint’s Day in order to shift the focus from those in heaven to those in purgatory.
Remembering and honoring the saints, heroes of the faith, and following their examples is a good thing! Many question celebrating the lives of great Christian men and women, yet have no problem fervently celebrating the lives of secular heroes like George Washington. All Saints Day is simply a day to celebrate the lives of all the great heroes of the Christian faith, and to celebrate the deep communion we have with them as they intercede for us.

I was browsing Hometalk (a fave hangout for DIY and crafty peeps) and found so many bountiful ways to lay a gorgeous table…many of them easy and economical with items found […]

I close my eyes and trace the chilled liquid as it slowly cools my parched throat. I can taste each of the exotic flavors one by one – mango, pineapple, lime, mint and rum. The frozen Chunks O’ Fruti #FreshNFruti ice cubes tickle my lips and make me smile. Ahhhhhhh…relax and chill! Florida gets hot, […]

Commedia del’Arte Mural By Jeff Monsein Our Commedia del’Arte mural was inspired by a recent trip to Venice, Italy. Venice is an amazing city, filled with a colorful history. Although we unfortunately didn’t get to go during Carnival, we were still able to see many examples of costumes, masks, and Italian pageantry. Our mural was […]
We have all had the experience of sensory overload..as well as sensory deprivation. We may experience overload when entering an environment filled with loud sounds, bright colors, an array of patterns, and a variety of textures…to say nothing of what we may be sniffing, tasting or touching there. We may experience sense of deprivation when […]
