A Recovering Magpie’s Pruning
Oh my was this pruning season necessary. After years of blooming and placing all my energy into keeping that blossom alive and well, it was past time to cut back and let go. My 90-Day Summer Simplifying Challenge pruning sheers were a little rusty at the beginning. I did keep snipping away to reveal a better life and a new me in the process.
I love looking back over my life and seeing all the pieces falling into place. I love watching how even the bad and terrifying pieces were necessary to move me to the place I am today! This Summer Simplifying Challenge has brought with it a learning that goes beyond my meagre gardening skills. The cutting back is revealing more than I ever expected.
{Coming clean} I have not pruned in a looooong time!
I had a good day. I had a long chat with my mentor, friend and guardian angel at work. I passed along an idea for a new division that was spawned by conversations at Haven, BlogHer Food and SNAP. I have researched it and discovered a major need in this blogging industry that was not being met. I passed it along to Amy and she is passing it along to the CEO.
My Summer Simplifying Challenge
How I landed here and what I am doing is amazing to me My Summer Simplifying Challenge has brought new fruit in my life. I am amazed constantly at how each new step brings more clarity and joy. I am thrilled with the progress.
I continue to notice my emotional and spiritual growth. This is something I did not expect to find in the 90-Day Summer Simplifying Challenge. How it happened I do not know or understand. I just accept and enjoy the nuances as they arrive. I am fully involved n the pruning and love what it has to bring in the future.
Today’s Accomplishments
- Two large boxes, sorted and things placed into the ‘outta here’ boxes!
- The house is clean and orderly.
Today’s Setbacks
- Overpruning by doing too much.
