Exploration of myself and my lifestyle has been a large part of my 90-Day Summer Simplifying Challenge. The places I have gone, both interior and exterior, have changed my paradigm. Read my 90-Day Summer Simplifying Manifesto!!
A Recovering Magpie’s Explorations
Going places within your home is a good thing for anyone I would think. My explorations have uncovered many new ways to arranging and storing things. I have become quite the organizer during the 90-Day Summer Simplifying Challenge. I love to find solutions as I explore. And I don’t just want a good solution, I want the best solution.
The best solutions come out of necessity and indeed necessity is to Mother of all invention. It has been necessary for me to make room for new things in my life. Letting go of long held objects and beliefs as prompted this exploration of self and lifestyle. Innovation has been explored to the max. I am creative, there is no question about that. But am I innovative? What is the difference and how does this apply to my Summer Simplifying Challenge? Creativity is the process of imagining new ideas or ways of doing things. Innovation is implementation of the creativity. One is subjective and the other is measurable.
{Coming clean} I suck at implementation!
My Summer Simplifying Challenge
Therein lies the biggest challenge of the Summer Simplifying Challenge! I am great at dreaming up plans and schemes. Just like Lucy Ricardo, these often land me in iffy places. The piece that is missing is my ability to follow through with the plans and schemes.
The upside of my 90-Day Summer Simplifying Challenge has been the exploration of a new way to implement…or at least a new way for me to discover implementing. By setting these small, manageable daily tasks and recording them here on C8C , I have implemented the Summer Simplifying Challenge! The process seems to have moved me forward in my exploration of implementation. Creativity and innovation together at last. {insert BIG smile}
