As the pruning and letting go wind down, I am preparing for a season of dormancy. During the next few weeks after my 90-Day Summer Simplifying Challenge, I plan a deep rest period to reflect and acknowledge my progress. Read my 90-Day Summer Simplifying Manifesto!!
A Recovering Magpie’s Dormancy
I do not plan to stop letting go, but I do want time to look back over the Summer Simplifying Challenge. I want time to be still…a time of temporary mental inactivity…to savor the goodness of the 90 Days and make a plan to carry this goodness forward in my life.
I do not anticipate the ‘leaning into’ a period of dormancy will be easy. After the magnificent growth spurt and constant activity of the Summer Simplifying Challenge, it might be challenging to slow down and discern. However, I wish to give myself this gift of time.
{Coming clean} I don’t often give myself the gift of time!
My Summer Simplifying Challenge
Am I finished with the simplifying process? I would say, “No!” I believe that I am in the midst. I know there is much more to do, and I am prepared to do it. I plan to continue the letting go every day. Making a conscious effort to find something that is no longer necessary to me and free it to go to a new home.
My 90-Day Summer Simplifying Challenge has established within me this spirit of living with less. I plan to continue to lighten my load until I come to a place of peaceful light living. I may create a Living Light Manifesto for myself. As the energy of my 90-Day Summer Simplifying Manifesto seemed to propel me forward to the place I am today, a new manifesto may give me the challenge I need to grow into a blessed by less Rebecca. And that, my friends, is a very good thing.
