Open Letter to Sears About Joining the Serta iComfort Mattress Review Team #iComfort

written by Rebecca E. Parsons

Dear Sears:

I would love to join Zippy of Champagne Living and Trisha from MomDot as a vital part of the Serta iComfort Mattress Review Team. I am not too proud to beg, ask, beseech, entreat, nag, petition, plead, pray, press, requisition, solicit, urge, woo…and otherwise publicly implore you to choose me. Therefore, I will do what I do best…wordsmith all the reasons:

Why I Deserve to Win a Chance to Review a Serta #iComfort Mattress from Sears

I could write a sob story about the whys but, bottom line, this Boomer girl (meaning ‘of a certain age’) could sure use a Serta iComfort Mattress with cooling gel!!! I live in Florida…need I say more. It’s HOT here and women of a certain age are HOT for a myriad of reasons. Hot in bed has a much different connotation for us…and there’s not a good night’s sleep to be had when hot flashes arrive. Plus my mattress is about 20 years old…and a little saggy in the mid section like it’s owner!

saggy mattress #iComfort

Before this post becomes too tongue in cheek…I will tell you there are three good reasons why Rebecca E. Parsons would be a great third of the Serta iComfort Mattress Review Team for Sear’s. Plus the fact that I love to shop at Sear’s because it has clean and well designed stores with great brands and awesome prices…plus an super rewards program that works!!! If you haven’t been to your local Sear’s in a while, you owe it to yourself to visit one…It is not your Mother’s Sear’s store!!!

Passion

passionFirst and foremost, I am a passionate blogger with a loyal following. Yes, I have a much smaller virtual footprint than Zippy or Tricia; however, my readers listen when I tell them about the things I love. When I ask them to show up and support me they do. An example would be the Sears Pinterest contest for Sandra Lee earlier this year. All, yes ALL, of the winners came from my blog posts. And there were major bloggers, with amazing stats, involved in that campaign. Just sayin’.

Numbers

I know numbers are important to Sears, and they should be. I make up for it by working harder for the brands I love. Sear’s would be at the top of that list!!! I take the time to engage my followers, fans and readers in conversations about the products I love. And the Serta iComfort Mattress is truly a product I love and need. (see why below) I promise to tweet, stumble, pin and engage with and for Sears throughout the lifetime of the mattress!!! Now that could take a while!!!

Storytelling

If you read my bio it states that I  am “a Renaissance gal with designers eye and the gift o’ gab. Plus “a Lifelong Communicator and Blissful Wordsmith.” Food Network star Sandra Lee said recently, “Rebecca is the hands down winner of wordsmithing.”  She also comment about my blog, “This is pure genius.” Read the story here.

Yes indeed…I have been know to tell, recount, recite or reel off a story or two in my life. I come from a long line of storytellers and many of my relatives kissed the Blarney Stone on several occasions. It comes naturally…it flows really!

So I have stories to tell of my day dreaming about the Serta iComfort® Prodigy Plush King Mattress with  Motion Perfect® Adjustable Foundation. It’s my dream so I can dream really B I G!!! Close your eyes and let me take you on a little journey into my Lullaby League dreams…insert the Munchkin singers from the Wizard of Oz here.

We represent the Lullaby League, The Lullaby League, The Lullaby League
And in the name of the Lullaby League, We wish to welcome you to Munchkinland.

La La La…I digress a little because I have had four major back surgeries resulting from a broken neck and back. They were tough but they made me tougher. I also have a need for the upper portion of my bed to be raised and often my knees. Oh man…this mattress and foundation are the answer to all my sleepy dreams – Cool Comfort, Great Support and Memory Foam technology. (My three (3) favorite features of the iComfort series of mattresses from Serta.)

form Sears website – Designed with the latest in sleep technology, this Serta Memory Foam Mattress delivers a level of support and comfort that goes beyond a simple sleeping surface. It delivers a whole body experience that will have you resting deeper, breathing easier and greeting each new day with bright eyes. The perfect way to invest in proper rest, faster recovery and healthier, more active days, the iComfort Prodigy delivers the kind of rest you’ve been dreaming of.

Featuring a proprietary blend of Cool Action™ Gel Memory Foam, this King Memory Foam Mattress was conceived to deliver more support than ordinary memory foam while allowing air to flow through millions of microscopic passageways to deliver a cooler, more breathable sleep, night after night. The perfect fit for sensitive sleepers, this mattress reduces overheating by breathing 95% more efficiently than traditional memory foam to keep you resting in soothing comfort all night long.

You had me at cooling whole body resting experience and nightly retreats for sensitive sleepers! That pretty much encapsulates my vision of a dream bed. The fact that it is built to last and hypoallergenic is just fodder for future dreams. See how cute I look on the mattress at my local Sear’s store?

Test Driving a mattress at Sears

Today, I am a groggy, pained, passionate blogger with decent numbers and growing. Just think what a better rested me could do…I might just catch up with Zippy and Tricia!!! Love you guys!!!
