A Recovering Magpie’s Seeds of the New Me
I shared yesterday that I would be answering this question {What is that essential core of who I am that brought me to this crossroads?} over the next few weeks.
{Coming clean} I plan to come clean with gusto as I delve into the remnants and the core reasons I found myself in need of this transformation. The funny thing about transformation for me is stripping and peeling away the layers of my comfort zone…all those certainties and perceived safety nets.
The letting go of sanctuaries and refuges is often painful…but so necessary to expose the seeds of the new me. The deep core parts of me that are activated only when the superficial, trivial, one-dimensional layers are stripped away. This is revealed in both internal and external stuff I have held on to for so long.
My Summer Simplifying Challenge
I am trusting that the new me who comes through my Summer Simplifying Challenge will not be a shadow of my former self, but a truly transformed and evolved woman with deeply planted, albeit pruned and edited, roots. I am inviting these sheared and shorn roots to grow and flourish. I will not however, use miracle grow. I will take the baby steps I am becoming so fond of into my future.
Today’s Accomplishments
- One box opened, sorted and things placed into the ‘outta here’ boxes!
- Household cleaning tasks continue.
Today’s Setbacks
- I delayed the box opening until after I played today! It is best to do it before!
