Back from California – My Computer is Dead – Prayers Needed

written by Rebecca E. Parsons

Oh my goodness…I am trying to remain calm, but I am so not calm at all!!! My beloved Mac died while I was away. I have a recent backup, so I should be okay as far as the files go…but I have no system to restore it to and a new Mac costs a bunch of $$$$ I don’t have.

I am using my old Mac with OX 10.3.9 to write this; however, I cannot get on Facebook or Twitter and Safari is crashing every few minutes. I can retrieve e-mail and so far update my blog!!! Please keep me in yor thoughts and prayers while I figure this out!!!

Ugh, had to deal with a similar problem just last week. Can it be repaired? Sometimes a dead machine just means the power supply blew, while the rest of the components are fine. Maybe the Apple store can do something with it and avoid the need to get a brand new machine altogether. You may have a to pay a little, but depending on the repair needed it may be a lot less than buying a new Mac.

If not, you could try eBay for a refurbished or used model just to get back on your feet. Good luck!

Oh, no! I’ll cross my fingers that it can be fixed!
