Color is my thing. An artist’s eye is their primary tool. With the change of seasons and the new year approaching with gusto, my head is turning to new projects, transitions, and Colorful Fall Trends 2014. You know I have been simplifying this year. With it came many transitions and moments of change. Now that the clutter and chaos has been cleared, I am turning my attention to decor. Pantone color trends, Décorview Interior Design #decorview, and Hunter Douglas window treatments are catching my eye in a big way this season. With the colorful fall trends I have created a mood board with the colors and items which have most captured my attention.
COLORFUL Fall Trends 2014 in Interior Design
“This is a season of untypical colors—more reflective of the imagination and ingenuity, which makes for an artful collection of colors and combinations not bound by the usual hues for fall,”
–Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®
What’s trending? Untypical color. I have been scouring the pages of Décorview, an industry leader in interior design, for trends and custom window treatments. I am ready for a big change and window treatments can add a WOW factor or make a subtle background statement. They also contribute to energy efficiency, which is a primary consideration here in Florida.
With Décorview, I can even have an in-home consultation with a professional to measure, design, and install new Hunter Douglas window treatments. Your husband will be sold on the automation technology of motorized window treatments for sure. Décorview makes the whole process painless. Plus, if you schedule a FREE design consultation from Décorview before December 16th, you can save on your window projects.
Here are some of my favorite colorful fall trends that I found:
Cypress
A majestic and powerful green, this shade has a towering presence. It really brings an earthiness to any decor.
Misty Mauve
Oh this is a romantic and elegant purple shade. It brings a sense of femininity and empowerment to a space. The patterned window treatment lends a new texture to the mainly white room.
Cognac
A classy and cultured autumnal color that transforms any space into the sumptuous realm. Add some golden touches for a sophisticated glow. This window treatment is just breathtaking.
Sangria
Sangria is an exotic red that evokes a sense of glamorous adventure in even the least adventurous decorator. The color-filled room below just makes me smile.
Aurora Red
This color is a bit more sophisticated shade of red than Sangria. It can add spark and verve to any room. Even a pop of this color gets you on trend for fall. This Hunter DouglasWaterfall Roman Shade really brightens the space.
Aluminium
A complex neutral is this futuristic stainless steel shade. It has a warmth that other cool metallics may not have. This is the perfect lanai setting or loft window treatment.
Royal Blue
Both evocative and dignified, this has more complexity than navy. It adds a delightful excitement to this bedroom and pairs beautifully with the Palm Beach™ Polysatin Shutters. And that large R speaks to me! 🙂
I am going to add as many of these to my fall trend-y decorating scheme as I can. How are you decorating for the fall?
