I have been thinking a lot about girlfriends lately…especially my new and ever growing list of social media girlfriends. I am blessed to have the BFFs, childhood girlfriends, high school and college girlfriends, young motherhood girlfriends, business girlfriends, artist girlfriends, blogging girlfriends, geek girlfriends and extra special to my heart girlfriends. That brings a lot of women power and a joy to my life. And I am also overly joyed to make new girlfriends…
Right before BlogHER ’11, I met Debba Haupert, founder, inspirista and driving force behind Girlfriendology.com. Debba is an author, dreamer, entrepreneur, student of social media, animal-lover, wife and definitely girlfriend. Debba believes in living life with a passion. Recognizing her purpose in life is to connect people and to inspire women to share friendship, she started Girlfriendology.com with the optimistic idea to make the world a better place. And she can too – if you’re a better friend, you inspire your friends, then your friends will be more caring for their friends, and it can continue to make the world a better, friendlier place! (Plus, girlfriends make women healthier, happier, less-stressed, live longer and feel prettier – now isn’t that enough to base a business on?!)
Girlfriendology is a website and community of women to inspire and support each other, to encourage women to appreciate and celebrate girlfriends, and to be the kind of friend we’d love to have. Girlfriendology is all about women supporting women as we continue to grow friendships and ‘do life‘ together!
Together we can make the world better – one friendship at a time.
So join Debba and her girlfriends at Girlfriendology. Check out GF podcasts/BlogTalkRadio shows, videos, Facebook community, LinkedIn group, Twitter, newsletters, contests and more! Check out Girlfriendology in the news too!
Just this week I discovered Social Media Girlfriends or #SMgirlfriends on Twitter. SMG is a place to giggle, make stuff happen, share your stories, and be the best you can be… together. Britt Michaelian and Dabney Porte, founders; make stuff happen. Check it out and see what you think.
Awesome post! Looks like you were having alot of fun!
