WOW!!! It is that time. I am off to my very favorite conference tomorrow – the International Food Blogger Conference #IFBC hosted by Foodista.com and Zephyr Adventures. I cannot wait to visit with my foodie friends, learn even more about food and food writing, and schmooze with the sponsors and partners. My favorite brand (no surprise to my readers) is top of the list: Bigelow Tea. I can’t wait to see Cindy Bigelow again. Raising a cup of Plantation Mint this morning, as usual, as I write this post. YUMMMM!
Actually, many of my favorite brands are here this year. See the list below. I love seeing the new products and tasting the new yummies, but that is not why I attend. I attend mainly to grow as a food blogger. And grow you can at this event. The agenda is jam packed with amazing opportunities to learn and stretch your skills.
First Day at IFBC
My conference begins with KitchenAid® and Sur La Table combining a recipe development session with a preview of new products. Then it is off to an evening of fun and excitement. First is A Taste of Washington Cookbook Launch event followed by the Grand Opening Reception Hosted by Raincoast Crisps, Bristol Bay Sustainable Salmon and Accolade Wines. This includes a visit the Gift Suite. Let me tell you, I have never seen an event to top this one. I will be sharing all about this in a future post. Of course I could not even think of the IFBC without the people I meet – the old friends from years past and the new ones I will bond with. I have formed deep friendships with several people I met at my first IFBC. We talk regularly, share recipes on each other’s blogs, and enjoy each other.
