Vignettes are amazing little lovely places to pause and reflect on the decorator. Decor is my friend. I love to create spaces of whimsey and elegance in Mermaid Manor. Since I am so close to the ocean, sea and nature always finds its way into my decorating schemes. Please enjoy the mantle from last year and stay tuned for this year!!!

What? No Fireplace? HORRORS!!!!

Well how on earth does one decorate a mantle when they don’t have one? Ah Ha…that’s the magic! I am not going to let a little thing like no fireplace stop me from my decorating dreams!!! You know how creative I am…so it took about three and a half minutes to remedy that situation when I moved into this tiny villa. I spilled my guts last week and told you I would begin to reveal how a big house girl created “The Well Collected Home” in this elfin place. So I am showing this really high wooden wall on which I hung a large {6 foot} decorative shelf. Voila…a mantle. I must have a place to hang stockings, right?
