“Students should be taught that failure is a process, not an obstacle.” ~Scott Adams, The Wall Street Journal
Artists need to understand this also…as we struggle with the process of creativity. I know, and sometimes even believe, that every stroke of my brush and every word I write is movement toward the edge of what’s possible.
Often during my creative process I find that I have created something less than my original vision. It is at these times, when I step away from the constraints of this vision, that I can often manifest another vision….one that just might be superior to the original.
This is a magnificent place to find myself as an artist…completely led by the Spirit and lost in the creation process. I call this place Intuitivity…the crossroads of Intuition and Creativity. And in this magical place I am on the outskirts of Cre8Topia!!!
Let us not be afraid to look at everything that has brought us to where we are now and trust that we will soon see in it the guiding hand of a loving Spirit.
“To be grateful for the good things that happen in our lives-the good as well as the bad, the moments of joy as well as the moments of sorrow, the successes as well as the failures, the rewards as well as the rejections–that requires hard spiritual work.”~Henri J.M. Nouwen, Bread for the Journey
