Are you ready for a change in 2011? Do you want to sell more art, take more classes, do more shows, find a gallery to sell your art?
All these things are possible with a little know how and imagination. Do you have the know how?
Make it a point to understand the New Generation of Web Marketing – Social Media Marketing.
Engagement = Loyalty = Revenue
It is all about relationships…finding them, building them, maintaining them and capitalizing on them!!
As 2010 washes away and 2011 surfs in Monday Marketing Minute will be focusing on Branding! Do your senses connect your to a brand? Does your brand have relevance? Does your brand represent you? Everything you say…everything you write…everything you put forth on any venue online or off speaks to your brand!
Your logo, color scheme and overall appearance of you website/blog/etsy shop/Facebook Fan Page/Twitter profile is the point of entry into your art..the visual representation of your brand…the total look and feel of your business…it has an impact on your potential buyers and collectors…it has an impact on whether they want to buy your art and whether they trust you or not…they MUST connect to your story to buy art from you!!!
Look professional and memorable and simple… recognizable, clear and consistent. Ask yourself how well does my logo work across media, the scale, in B&W and color…do you have too many taglines, no phone number or addy easily visible?
You may not know: Color improves perception and retention by up to 70%, it increases readership by up to 80%, and is 77% more effective than B&W. Color can increase sales by 80% and, believe it or not, invoices in color are paid by up to 30% faster.
You need:
-
A Professional Brand Concept that is Memorable
-
Concise Message that Resonates
-
Clear Case for Your Art
-
Enticing Promotion
Engagement = Loyalty = Revenue
Wording…”our product can be leveraged to increase efficiency” is better than “use our products to increase efficiency”…use bulleted lists for benefits…lead with the pain copy to show you understand and relate to their pain followed by the solution how you can serve them and help them…talk about your capabilities and keep a positive tone…avoid novelty fonts…if you distract them with fancy fonts and images they begin to concentrate on how you communicated than what you communicated…strike a balance
if an opportunity comes to sell a piece you must be prepared and ready to sell…you do not want to make an eager art buyer wait for weeks to get your work of art…have in-house resources to print and deliver your art…be in control

Does Coaching Work?
People seeking coaching are self-guided, so the answer is yes. In order to make a good match between what you want out of the coaching experience and the person who can guide you throughout the coaching process, you will need to be cautious and ask good questions.
How to know if you need a mentor or coach…
People seek out coaches for many reasons. The people we coach are usually working through some significant transition in their life or career and believe that something is holding them back. The most valuable results of the coaching experience are: brainstorming, another viewpoint, encouragement, and being accountable to the coach.
Coaching is not a substitute for therapy and it’s not business strategy. You will do the work. The coach guides by asking the right questions that help the client figure out what behavior needs to change and how best to change it. You will learn to engage in authentic conversations and self-assessments to know yourself better.
Make Business Coaching part of your 2011 Marketing Strategy.
