This is Part 5 in a series of 10 MM Minutes about Demystifying Twitter.
A strong brand is invaluable to artists. Twitter is one of the quickest ways to build brand recognition for you and your art business. A strong and recognizable creative brand is invaluable to an artist and serves to communicate credibility to your prospective collectors and buyers and other artists as well.
We have learned about your @Name, Profile picture and bio, Twitter and Your Website and best times to Tweet. This week we learn to:
Be a Good Follower:
Once you are established, you will want to follow people and organizations, especially artists and art organizations and even the manufacturers of tools and products you use. Some will follow you back, see what you tweet and, perhaps, might help your art career. Follow galleries, museums, collectors, art coaches, fellow artists, and others you would like to be seen by. Follow other non-artists you find and like as well because you never know who might become your next big fan or collector!
Action Step: Spend some time this week searching art, artist, galleries, etc on Twitter. Follow those who appeal to you.
