Two weeks ago I thought I was not going to BlogHER ’11. I had come to grips that I would need to start saving every penny for BlogHER ’12 and postpone building brand relationships a little longer…sighhhh.
Then I took this little trip to St. Augustine, There is a special chapel I go to when things are out of balance and I need to regroup. I always leave refreshed and in better spirits. This day was no exception.
I also found a new BFF, Peggy Ward…Bead Chick St. Augustine. She is awesome…her work is brilliant…and her shop is full of delightful works of art…
When I returned home that Wednesday, I had the invitation I had hoped for…an ambassadorship for KMart and Gordon Ramsay at the Cheap Sally Party at BlogHER. I could go!!! Tickets were purchased, roommate found, conference pass secured, clothing made, biz cards ordered…yess I was going to BlogHER!!!
Yesterday, I returned to St. Augustine to pray about my trip to San Diego and BlogHER would be safe and successful for me, for REP MEdia, for Cre8tive Compass Magazine and for Artistically Speaking Talk Show….my evolving media empire!!!
I had decided to use the feathers that Peggy makes as a gift for brands I wanted to represent. Just a little something special to go with my business card to make me stand out!!!
I also needed some bling for the conference and Peggy took time to create some jewelry pieces for me while I waited…plus she loaned me a beautiful showpiece necklace that just finishes a special outfit…yes, Peggy the Bead Chick is a gift from the universe to me…
I will be reporting and blogging for conference hound also during the conference. That pays for me to check my bags…so it all worked out down to the last detail…I am one blessed Boomer Geek Girl today…of to CA I am…
