I have set aside this year as a time to simplify, heal and breathe. It will be a retreat…a joyful balancing act where I hope to emerge living fully in the space of me….embracing all the parts of myself that have been scattered over the past few years.
I begin my day before sunrise…walking in meditation among the marsh oaks draped with Spanish moss. It is my time to connect with God, myself and reflect. It is also the time to set an intention for the day…every day. I ask myself what is my true desire for the day…not one created by fear or by practicality…but a syncing of mind, body, heart and spirit which results in absolute clarity.
That clarity of intention will be my focus today…commanding my attention. I will check in with myself several times during the day…pausing with attention. This attention brings with it my creative power…and that is unstoppable.
I listened to a webinar by Christine Kane Thursday evening where she spoke about intention and attention. It reaffirmed my plan for the year and added a few hints to make it less of a struggle. one thing that struck a code with me was when she advised us to take a look around us. Anything we see that is not in alignment with out intention should be eliminated. That is the simplification piece I needed clarity on. I can ask that question and be perfectly at peace with the answers…purging that which no longer serves my life.
Beautiful shot of the sun peeking through… so peaceful… and your plan to simplify, heal & breathe this year -while on retreat- well, I am thinking this is exactly what I NEED as well. Thrilled to have found your blog! I downloaded one of Gary Lord’s books and he highly recommends your “do what you love…” workbook – can’t seem to find it anywhere! Are you still selling it?
Shooting prayer arrows of peace and sunshine your way…
