Photographic Adventures from Coast to Coast with #BRXtravelgear

written by Rebecca E. Parsons

I just returned from a thrilling photographic adventure through the wine country and high desert of southern California.I was visiting my son who lives northwest of San Diego. You know I have been taking photographic staycations and short day trips to save money and gas of late. I did the same while in California.

Creative inspiration comes to me when I am in nature… Below I share a page from my travel journal to inspire you and thrill your senses…I hope you will make photographic staycations part of your future plans!

Here I am with my new BRX Adventure Gear outdoor luggage, ready to roll…read the back story of my new adventure travel gear #BRXtravelgear here. What I love most about this outdoor luggage is the feel as it rolls…the wheels are sturdy and roll smoothly. It never turns over as so many of my other bags!!!

I captured some amazing cloud formations from the plane on the trip west…there were loads of storms to fly over and around…

After attending BlogHER ’11 (I will be telling that story in the next weeks, so please check back often), where I was invited to some amazing events like The UPS Store party where I shot this amazing sunset of the San Diego marina…

I traveled through the wine country of southern Cali…Temecula with my son and his wife…see our adventure below…the trusty blue BRX bag carried my gear beautifully…

the vistas are breathtaking…

the cedars kiss the sky…

the wineries are beautiful reminders of Italy…

Then we ventured into the high desert near Palm Springs…camera gear and clothing all neatly protected in my Briggs & Riley ocean blue bag…I so wish I had purchased the Excursion Field Bag…it would have been a great, over the shoulder way to carry camera gear and netbook…lesson learned…on my want list for sure…

I have always been fascinated by the windmills that cover miles and miles of desert near palm springs…here’s why…

they stand so proud and majestic…working symbols…

I shot hundreds of images of them…Palm Springs and Palm Desert are one of my favorite places to be…I love the rocky mountains…

the lush palms…

the sunset through the mountains…

and the plant life in the moonlight…

This is just a sampling of my photographic adventure through southern California. I hope you enjoyed the journey and will linger a while with the photographs…let them inspire you as they do me…
