It might surprise you to know that I have favorite whiskey glasses. No, they are not shot glasses. And they most assuredly did not begin life as whiskey glasses. Nevertheless, they are now living their life as beautiful, beloved whiskey glasses.
The Story of My Three Whiskey Glasses
Of course, there is a story to tell about the three little handblown, clear footed, blue whiskey glasses. They came into my possession on a trip wandering leisurely through the lovely state of Tennessee. {That means stopping at every thrift shop, flea market, and interesting dumpster along the way.} Since Tennessee is known for its whiskey making prowess, they became MY whiskey glasses because that is just the way I roll.
Sooooo…whiskey. Well, I am Irish and the love of a good, smooth whiskey comes with the DNA. When it came time to shoot the glasses, I discovered that I am all out of the Irish whiskey {HORRORS} I love to sip on occasion. So Canadian whiskey had to suffice. Crown Royal is a pretty good substitute, don’t you think? I digress. There is a Whiskey Trail adventure in Ireland that everyone who visits the green shores might want to add to their agenda. As it so happens, The 2017 Dublin Whiskey Festival starts today…August 14th-and runs through the 20th. Irish Whiskey is going through a revolution at the moment and there is no better way to enjoy whiskey than in an Irish Bar. Wish I were there!! You too!!
