Learning is a beautiful part of my life. Insatiably curious, I love to learn new things and I love to share that knowledge with others. That is why my current job is so satisfying. Every day I am doing something to empower bloggers to grow and thrive. That is my elevator speech in a nutshell – “I empower bloggers to grow and thrive through Social Fabric University.“
I consider myself a gentle disruptor. Although sometimes I can be overly enthusiastic, my medium of disruption is wild, passionate curiosity. I am intrigued by everything and everyone around me. I want to know your story and your why. This curiosity is why I am a journalist and talk show host. Social media is my platform and how I thrive.
Work Anniversary – 4 Years and Counting
On this day in 2010, I began my career with Collective Bias. I was a contract employee for three years and moved to full time in 2013. What a journey it has been. I received two presents this week from my SoFab family. The above is what I call my SoFab family necklace. It means I have blogging friends from all over the world to call sisters and brothers. How awesome is that?
This blue and gold tea cup with my initial on it arrived from my boss Courtney Lawless with a planning calendar for 2015. I enjoy my morning cuppa in it as I plan my day. This year has moved by quickly as I helped Debba Haupert of Girfriendology launch Social Fabric University.
One of my proudest achievements is creating 12 of the 24 courses. Thankfully, my disruptor curiosity gives me the skill set to write and teach a wide variety of subjects focusing on social media, business and content for bloggers.
As I head into 2015, I am grateful for the opportunity to empower bloggers and so happy that Inspirista Jennifer Tuma-Young introduced me to Social Fabric in 2010. I am also blessed that I am feeding my curiosity doing what I love, continuing to learn as well as teach and continuing to gently disrupt.
Love this post Rebecca. You are an inspiration to so many. Keep up the great work for yourself, for Collective Bias, and for bloggers and friends everywhere.
Always remember… a Network gives you Reach, but a Community gives you Power. Love how you foster and empower communities.
