True story…Bride to Be Makes a Blunder
Okay! I admit it! I am beginning to experience nerves about the wedding. We went to obtain our marriage license today. It should have been a cut and dry process…right? Not so much!
I put down that I am Chinese and born in Vermont!!! 🙂 Neither of which are true. It was a mixup on the computer…yes I tried to write caucasian and it autofilled Chinese. When I tried to correct it, the clerk told me to save it and it auto filled Vermont. She came over and said with no hint of a smile, “Are YOU Chinese?”
HIMself, Mr. Cool-Calm-Collected, decides to take control. He was doing his paperwork and I was doing the computer. So he shook his head, stepped in front of me and said, “What is wrong with you? You are acting like you’re drunk.”
He was still shaking his head when he took over the computer part also…while I laughed…loudly. Remember the hysteria thing from last night? It came upon me once again. I hope this is not going to be a daily occurence until the wedding!!!
Nonetheless, HIMself finished the forms and the clerk asked us to raise our hands and state that everything was correct and that we were not related. He said, “I do.” I bent over in laughter once again. I am not sure I swore anything. Does that mean it is not legal?
We, in spite of my nervousness, are licensed up and ready (perhaps) to be wed!!!
P.S. They needed to know when I was divorced…who can remember that day 30+ years ago? Not sure that part is correct either!!! Oops!!!

LOL – I hope I don’t do that when we fill out our license information. Congrats again on the marriage mama!
