Balance is my word for this year! I wrote about it in January. I have been taking baby steps toward its achievement throughout the year. That’s a good thing…I am making progress!!! Applause here 🙂
I am a planner and a creative…sometimes these conflict and cause chaos in my world. I am always distracted by the next shiny thing. And there are a lot of shiny things to chase in my world.
One thing people ask me regularly is, “How do you do it all?” Well, I do a lot, but I have come to know that I can never do it ALL…and when I attempt to to it all I can no way do everything well. Admitting this is progress also…right!?
But I do have a few secrets.
I hold dear my editorial calendar, marketing calendar and personal calendar. I actually created a way to have all three, on one page, so I know what is scheduled/expected each day. I take one day every quarter to plan my ed and marketing calendars. I make sure to schedule time each day for me, my art and HIMself.
Does it work all the time? Mostly. 🙂 How about you?

Rebecca, when I first entered the decorative painting world fifteen years ago, your name kept jumping up at me whenever I researched something. It was clear to me the. That you were a leader in our industry, and I always looked up,to,you. Over the years, I have take. Workshops with you at various conventions, and came to know you as more than just a great artist. Your perseverance is very admirable, and I know you have the talent, ambition and drive to get back up again. A stupid business decision just cost me dearly, and I felt like giving up. But then I remind myself of people like you, and I’m forcing myself to carry on and not beat myself up too badly. It’s only money, right?!! I look forward to continuing to follow you on your creative journey. Good luck in your endeavors.
