written by Rebecca E. Parsons

Procrastinator’s Party

The BEFORE Photo

You know I am a vamp. Soooo I was inspired to join Revamp it 2010…or what I call a Procrastinator’s Party…to finish a project we have been trying to avoid for a while. Mine is an unfinished Chateau Chair I have had for a few several years a while now. I am going to French Countrify it.

To join the fun…Simply write your own post on your blog and link back within your post to Natasha’s Blog. And see the other revamps!!! They are amazing and wondrous and so imaginative that I can’t even tell you how much you need to visit the other re-vampers!!! Go on…after you read my post tho!!!

Now, it is your turn. What are YOU going to work on?

Taa Daa

by the way the tile on the wall is not tile…it’s painted to look like old tile…trompe l’oeil

I painted the chair with yellow ochre from Golden Artist Colors and blue from Modern Masters

then I painted the rooster with Golden Artist acrylics

here is a close up of the rooster…

Speaking of revamping…I am so excited about launching a new blog this fall called Ghosts of Furniture Past. It will have beautiful furniture redo’s from all over the world.

Thanks for coming by my blog…I love visitor and would love to hear your comments below…I will be having FREE giveaways all thru October…so come back often…check out my workshops and my radio show for artists and for fiver and mixed media artists. I am always in your service!!!

What a great fun happy chair! I bet it makes you smile to use it now, and to see it DONE! Yay! I must admit I am very much a procrastinator, so when I see something done like this I feel all happy inside! Thanks so much for joining in Revamp It 2010!
