Christmas Traditions at Angel Wood Cottage
I have a few unbreakable Christmas Traditions. Some involve decorating. Some involve feast and féte. Some are just between me and baby Jesus. Angel Wood Cottage is a little slice of heaven on a beautiful lake nestled on Amelia Island Florida. I love decorating her and Christmas Traditions are part of the process every December. One of my Favorite Christmas Traditions is decorating a tree for every room. These little jewels just make my heart sing with joy!!
And a Giveaway
I also have a pretty cool $100 Wayfair Gift Card giveaway for you after I share my Christmas Traditions! The giveaway is about accenting traditional Christmas trees with a fun and different twist. Keep scrolling to see my twists…and theirs.
Christmas Traditions: A Tree for Every Room
Kitchen Christmas Tree
Angel Wood Cottage is my Well-Collected Home™ lovingly decorated with finds and treasures from our wanderings. Here is my beloved Kitchen Christmas tree. I am attracted to anything in miniature. I love tiny kitchen tools and gadgets and have amassed quite a few over the years of scouring thrift stores and estate sales. A few years ago, I decided to place some of them on a little tree on the kitchen island. A new Christmas Tradition was born. Read about it here.
See all the tiny kitchen ornaments? There is a tiny whisk, small pots and pans with lids, wooden spoons, and my favorite little find–a miniature egg beater.
And this tiny (one inch tall) rooster cookie cutter came home with me about 40 years ago from France. I have collected roosters since I studied muraling and decorative painting in Lyon when I was but a child. I have made many cookies with him and count him among my most prized possessions.
Music Room Christmas Tree
Each year I add another tree to another room. We are a family of musicians and vocalists. So we always have a dedicated Music Room. This tree is decorated with tiny instruments and rests on my Mother’s piano, which I inherited. Read more about this tree here.
Beachy Christmas Tree
Of course, I could not leave out a beachy tree. I made this shell Christmas Tree a few years ago to use as a centerpiece for meals by the lake. This little wonder stays out all year and graces the cottage with its beautiful iridescent glow. See it in action at a Christmas Brunch.
Lanai Christmas Tree
Last year, I added a tree to the Lanai (screened porch). It has tiny birds and shiny ornaments on it. We love to watch the birds from this porch, so it is a fitting that we have an outdoor Christmas Traditions tree also.
The Dining Room Tree
This year I am adding a dining room tree. I placed some pieces from my silver collection among the flocked branches along with tiny snowmen. It is a work in progress.
What a joy these trees bring to me. I hope I may have encouraged you to begin a new Christmas Tradition! {WINK WINK}

Christmas Traditions: St. Nicholas Tea Party
My annual St. Nicholas Tea Party ~ Victorian Christmas Celebration is a hit with my friends and family. It is a peaceful time-out from all the holiday hustle and bustle. It is about the warmth of the season celebrated with a festive high tea.
Each guest leaves with their own package of tea and scones.
Fabulous Post!! I love the Douglas Fir 7.5 Green Christmas Tree with Lights it reminds me of Angel Wings.
Love all the silver trees but will have to go with the 5.5 one!
Oooooh, I LOVE this idea!!! We do two trees when we can afford it (we fresh cut each year), and one is always family and the other “stylish”, I guess, ha! But how fun would it be to have a “Crafty” tree for me, maybe one for all the boys’ homemade ornaments…possibilities are endless! I love yours, but the kitchen tree is my favorite!
This one is my favorite!

So many adorable ideas for decoration trees, we do an artificial tree in each of our rooms of the house. Crazy and so fun. I’d love to try an upside down tree in our house and the Douglas Fir 9′ Green Fir Artificial Christmas Tree with 800 LED Warm White Lights with Stand would be so cool to use in our vaulted ceiling living room.
The 9ft silver tree is my favorite. So pretty and unique!
You always stun me with your talent! My fave tree is the one with lights!!
I love the 9 foot upside down silver Christmas tree. So pretty!
What a fun post, thanks for sharing! The Grand Teaton 3′ Tear Drop tree is cute and I love the shape of it!
Oooo I really like the 4.5 foot with 200 white lights. These are all so beautiful! But wow — I love your trees throughout your house — and the St. Nicholas tea! Lovely, beautiful traditions.
After this years tree cutting issues I would love one of these. The white are nice with lights 🙂
I’d never heard of this upside down Christmas tree trend … how unique! I like the Modern Upside Down Hanging Bangle Christmas Tree Set with Ornaments
Love your kitchen tree, it’s so cute! I love the spruce trees!
