Spring Porch Decor Refresh – Seasons Change

Thank heaven Spring is just around the corner. Today I am sharing my new Spring Porch Decor with you. It has been a long Winter, even here in Florida. I was more than tickled to spruce up my Welcome area when Wayfair asked their Homemakers to post about Seasons Change!! YAY! Porch Decor for me means rich layers and loads of texture. Come sit on my porch and have some tea after I decorate a bit.

 

New Seating

My Grandparents had a glider on their front porch. It was painted green, had some rusty spots, and made noises when you glided in it.  I loved sitting there with my Grandfather telling me stories of our Irish family heritage. He also sang to me and I had a time keeping my eyes open with the gentle movements of the glider.

That is exactly why I ordered a beautiful new glider this week. I want to sit on my porch and reminisce about my childhood and lazy Spring days. HIMself had it put together in short order. I left him alone for this task. WINK!

New Pillows

I fell in love with this ‘Bonjour’ pillow cover as soon as I saw it. My home decor is rustic French country meets the beach. I lie soft blue and yellow colors accented with a pop of reds. So this little French pillow has a starring role on the new glider. I paired it with two red and tan pillows that I love to give texture and layers.

Fresh Flowers and Plants

Plants and flowers are always part of my Spring Porch Decor. After the dark winter days, I long for bright Spring colors and scents. I move the indoor plants outside when the night temps are warm enough. Plants makes me happy!

Accessories

I love the cool breezes of Spring evenings. So I added a patchwork throw to the glider to wrap around my shoulders if necessary.

I also added a few of my favorite accessories – my glass lantern with a candle, a little side table to hold my sweet tea, and a few farmhouse items.
